About YMI HR

I’m an HR and People Consultant specialising in HR advisory, employee relations, and recruitment, with a strong focus on practical, people-centred solutions that work in the real world.

I support organisations — particularly charities, creative businesses, and growing SMEs — across the full people lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, restructures, and complex employee relations. My work includes designing job roles and salary frameworks, managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns, advising on difficult ER cases, and developing policies and processes that are legally sound and operationally realistic.

I work closely with leaders and hiring managers to ensure recruitment decisions are fair, inclusive, and aligned with organisational values, while also being commercially and legally robust. Beyond recruitment, I’m often brought in to support organisations through sensitive and high-risk people matters — including capability, disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancy consultations, and organisational change.

What sets my approach apart is that I don’t do “HR for the sake of HR”. I provide clear, calm and pragmatic advice, helping organisations balance employment law, risk, and the human impact of decisions. I’m known for being a trusted partner in complex situations and for building people solutions that managers can actually use.

Alongside hands-on HR and recruitment support, I also help organisations strengthen their People & Culture foundations — from improving manager capability and performance frameworks, to embedding values, wellbeing, and inclusive practices into day-to-day operations.
